The design of the gateway is imposing, symbolic and welcoming. It reflects the free flowing landscape design of the Burj District. It can be seen from all sides as well as from above. The gateways are easily recognised from the plane and from the tower. This will be achieved through a less busy and more dynamic idea.

The proposed materials for the gateway are similar to those of Burj Kalifa. The gateway skeleton is made out of steel, whereas the skin is a transparent material which is both light and tensile. The skin will be stretched over the steel construction an used to project light and images. It allows light to pass through to the underneath.
